Neben dem einmaligen Auftrag, darüber nachzudenken, wie man nach den
erfolgreichen Sommer- und Herbstmonaten während der EXPO 2000 auch
publikumswirksame „Gartenmonate“ im Winter und im Frühling inszenieren
könnte, war es eine wirklich angenehme Erfahrung, die zügigen Entscheidungs-
wege der Bauherren während der Planungsphase und Bauzeit zu erleben. Auch
die jetzt zum achten Mal realisierten Freirauminszenierungen sind äußerst
ungewöhnlich und haben Schule gemacht.
When you think of the work you have done in Wolfsburg, what stands out a
good memory?
Apart from the unique task of considering the question how – after the success
summer and autumn months during the EXPO2000 – to organise “garden
months” which would appeal to the public throughout the seasons of winter a
spring as well, it was wonderful to experience the readiness of the clients, duri
the planning phase and while the building was going on, to answer questions
expeditiously. This is also the eighth season that the park has been re-touched
re-adapted and in places, re-planted, this is extraordinary in itself, and the
Autostadt landscape-concept has stood the test of time.
